Ecuadorian players celebrate their opener world cup 2014 news

Ecuadorian players celebrate their opener world cup 2014 news
Both sides got their tournaments off in the worst possible way, with defeats. The two teams both need to take the three points if they are to stay in the competition.
Ecuador and Honduras will play their second World Cup Group E games tonight.
The South Americans were beaten 2-1 by Switzerland, while Honduras went down 3-0 to France.
Losers of tonight's clash will be all but out, barring a mathematical miracle.
Here is our guide.
The game will take place on Friday June 20 at the Arena da Baixada.
Kick off will be at 11pm GMT - one for you night owls.
The game is the second to be played in Curitiba.
Nigeria and Iran played out a goalless draw last Tuesday, neither side looking to put on a show for the vocal crowd.
Let's hope for their sake there is a buck in the trend this evening.
Neither of the two sides are anybody's dances for the World Cup and they both lived up to that expectation in their opening games.
Ecuador were unlucky not to take at least a point in their first game against the Swiss.
Emmer Valencia put them in front before Admir Mehmedi drew the Europeans level. Haris Seferovic broke Ecuadorian hearts with a winner deep into injury time.
On the other hand, Honduras were lucky to only take a three goal hit to their goal difference against France.
Karim Benzema hit a double against the Central Americans, who had Stoke City midfielder Wilson Palacios sent off.
Noel Valladares put through his own net, to round off a bad day at the office for Honduras.

Roger Espinoza - Not the most attractive footballer to watch but you'll see nothing short than 110% from the industrious Wigan, midfield-maestro.
Jefferson Montero - A livewire on the wing, expect him to give the Honduran full-backs a torrid time. He could be the spark Ecuador need to keep them in the tournament.
The game will be shown exclusively live on ITV with coverage starting at 10:35pm.
Matt Smith will be presenting the game, with Joe Speight and Lee Dixon on commentary.
That's where we jump in, as massblo Football will be providing a live blog on the game.
That's not all, we will be live blogging every game for the rest of the World Cup.
Be sure that we are your point of call for all of the team news, previews and updates from the game.
Ecuador have been made favourites by Paddy Power, they're 8/11 to take the three points.
Honduras are made the 4/1 outsiders for the game with the draw being offered at 14/5.
